Worth.ng respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”) and applicable Nigerian copyright law (Copyright Act, Cap C28 LFN 2004), we will respond promptly to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the requirements set out below.
1. Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that any content published on worth.ng infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must include the following information:
1.1 A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
1.2 Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works on our site are covered by a single notification, you may provide a representative list.
1.3 Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that is to be removed, including the specific URL(s) where the material is located on our Website.
1.4 Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address so that we can contact you.
1.5 A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
1.6 A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Please note that notices sent to any other address or submitted through any other method may not be processed in a timely manner.
3. Processing of Notices
Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will take the following steps: acknowledge receipt of your notice within 2 working days; review the notice for compliance with the requirements above; if the notice is valid, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material within a reasonable timeframe; notify the user who posted the material (if applicable) that it has been removed; and retain a copy of the notice for our records.
4. Counter-Notification
If you believe that content you posted was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:
Your physical or electronic signature. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it previously appeared. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification. Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court of Nigeria (or, where applicable, the relevant US federal court) and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.

5. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, Worth.ng has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts or access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
6. Good Faith
Please be aware that submitting a false or fraudulent DMCA notice may result in legal liability. Before submitting a notice, please consider whether the use of the material falls under fair use or fair dealing provisions. If you are unsure whether the material infringes your copyright, you may wish to consult a legal professional.
